This Privacy Policy explains how Shield Liability, LLC (doing business as Insurance Services by Shield, the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website(s), contact us, request information, request a quote, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”). If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

Important note: We are an insurance agency and do not underwrite insurance policies. Coverage and bond issuance are subject to underwriting approval and applicable terms. This Privacy Policy covers information handling, not coverage terms.

1. Who we are

Shield Liability, LLC operates the Services. Insurance Services by Shield is a marketing name for a California and Texas licensed insurance agency (CA License #6018195, TX License #3446536).

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Services. The Services may include links to third-party websites, quoting tools, scheduling tools, payment providers, or other services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and you should review their policies before providing information to them.

  • Information collected automatically. For example, device and browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, and site usage/activity logs.
  • Information from third parties. For example, information from insurance carriers, surety companies, wholesalers, or service providers involved in quoting, underwriting, issuance, verification, fraud prevention, analytics, communications, or customer support, as permitted by applicable law.

6. Communications, calls, and SMS

If you provide a phone number or email address, we may contact you to respond to your inquiry, provide quotes, request additional information, and service your policy or bond. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Opt out: Where applicable, you may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP. You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send non-marketing communications related to your requests or services (for example, quote updates or administrative messages).

We do not sell personal information. We may share information as described below:

  • Carriers, sureties, and underwriting partners. If you request a quote or services, we may share information with insurance carriers, surety companies, wholesalers, and underwriting partners to obtain quotes, evaluate eligibility, issue coverage or bonds, and service policies or bonds.
  • Service providers. We may share information with vendors who help operate the Services (for example, hosting, analytics, communications, scheduling, customer support, security, fraud prevention, and payment processing, if applicable). They are authorized to use the information only as necessary to provide services to us.
  • At your direction. We may share information when you request or authorize us to do so.
  • Legal, safety, and rights. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect the security of the Services, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or others.
